On Monday, Bombardier unveiled its newest masterpiece, the ‘Global 8000’. The company’s CEO Eric Martel, unveiled the jet at the European business aviation conference this week in Geneva.

It follows the immensely successful Global 7500, solidifying Bombardier’s position at the forefront of luxury aviation innovation.

Here’s what we learned about the Global 8000

  • It can reach a top Mach speed of 0.94 making it the fastest business jet in the skies

  • It has a range of 8,000 nautical miles giving it the longest range for a private jet (London-Perth and Singapore - LA)

Moreover, the passenger experience is set to truly epitomise luxury. On board, the cabin comprises four personalised suites designed meticulously to ensure passenger comfort and maximise movement. The jet will make use of the best technology, including soleil circadian lighting to combat jet lag and specialised filter technology to give the plane the cleanest and freshest air system in the skies. The entertainment system is also revolutionary; with state-of-the-art sound, monitors and cabin control. The cock-pit features Bombardier’s renowned ‘Vision’ flight deck.

The jet is set to enter service in 2025, with a list price of $78 million.
